Gravity Acceleration Calculator

Calculate the falling speed of an object based on the acceleration due to gravity with this Gravity Acceleration Calculator.

Travel Time : in seconds

Fill in the amount of travel time in seconds to determine the rate of speed that the object due to gravity.
(assuming no air resistance, and observation is at sea level)

What is Gravity Acceleration?

To find the rate of speed of a falling object, use the following gravity acceleration formula:

v = g x t

v = velocity

g = constant acceleration of gravity (9.80665 m/s2)

t = time (in seconds)

Example: The falling speed of an object after falling for 3 seconds is:

v = 9.80665 x 3
Calculated out this gives a falling speed of 29.42 meters/second.
